I think the OP has a valid request, but I agree they could have formulated it better. Also this is a stretch, you don't even know what neighborhood they are talking about. And you are not always going to see eyes to eyes with all your neighbors.[/quote]

Yeah but to say something sucks because it doesn’t conform to her desires (not even needs) is a stretch and not a sign of a decent person. Our neighborhood Target closes at 10pm, I wish it closed at 11pm so I can use it conveniently. I’m not going to say the neighborhood Target sucks. In fact, it’s great. I just wish they stayed open an hour later. See how easy it is?[/quote]

I added +1 to the pp who indicated that OP could have formulated it better. However, I understand OP's frustration for how difficult this school choice issue is if you don't have the finances to move IB for a good school and also either stay at home or afford a nanny. I'm more concerned with the pp who's creating the us vs them mentality with neighbors in Shepherd Park. [b]Yes, some new neighbors have higher expectations for Shepherd Elementary. NP. Shepherd Elementary used to be full of OOB students, of course the expectations are going to be higher now that there are more inbound families in the school. Maybe that is what PP was trying to say? In any case I agree with the general idea that when someone posts something people don't like here on DCUM, someone would say something like "I hope these are not the people moving in...". Yeah, please stop that.[/quote]
