My DC was reading with comprehension as a 4 year old, read Harry Potter in the summer between K and 1st, and Percy Jackson in 1st-2nd. DC was very conspicuously ahead of the other kids in the same grade level at our FCPS school. I just can't imagine a kid being 6 or more years ahead of that, and then having the parent think it's no big deal. [/quote]
