I did not attend high school (not by choice). I did 1.5 years at a community college in my early 20s and had an A average. I then transferred to a flagship state university and also had an A average. I graduated in 4 years but was 26. I got my master's years later with all As. I'm fairly happy in my chosen career. The money is okay but not great. I do think my lack of formal education before college influenced my choice in major. I lacked a solid math and science foundation, so I chose something that required mostly humanities-related coursework.
IIere you homeschooled?
I was inconsistently homeschooled through about middle school. I grew up in a cult that did not believe in education past 8th grade and did not prioritize education beyond the 3 Rs. I got ahold of some decent homeschooling resources and taught myself enough math to not look like a complete idiot on my entrance exam. The only remedial class I ended up needing to take was Algebra II.
