Only in liberal areas like DC. In the rest of the country/world, EVERYONE wants a boy. I’ve been to gender reveals in the Midwest where no one even tried to hide the disappointment when it was a girl. Everyone dreams of having the son/grandson that’ll be HS quarterback leading his school to the state championship.[/quote Actually I have seen some research about this, and it's not true. There are very clear indicators that in western societies (and not just liberal areas) there has become a preference for girls Apparently in every circumstance where couples have some sort of say as to what gender they get, such as adoption, embryo transfer, etc. Couples overwhelmingly choose females. And this is not a new phenomena because I read this when I was pregnant with my first 14 years ago.
