Crass lyrics have always been a thing in pop music; it's just that people's standards have changed. People used to get all up in arms over Elvis's hip thrusts. The BBC wouldn't play A Day in the Life because of the line "I'd love to turn you on."

The Who wrote an entire song about a lady's rack and how she bangs her husband so much the kids are neglected:
