Just because someone else has running shoes on her list does not make them a sensitive or welcome gift to everyone. Have empathy, people! OP, your reaction, or lack thereof, is the perfect way to disengage. It doesn’t matter whether or not your dad actually knows you unwrapped it, etc. He knows you did not welcome the gift and he knows you’re not going to fight about it. End of discussion.[/quote]
