Because rowing is hard and it interfered with her screen time.

Because crew practice often is at 5:30 AM and takes up most of a kid's free time. Even for coxswains who keep the team organized and do a lot of work if not physical workouts. They actually have to be really smart. The best coxswains study the race courses, know how to motivate the rowers and follow coaches instructions about stroke rates and racing strategies.  
Not for someone who admits online that they are only interested in college for the parties.
