You are right. Even a USWNT player declined a call up because her religious beliefs conflicted with wearing the "pride" symbols on her jersey.  She was stigmatized and attacked for her decision by some.   Soccer should not be politicized or used to promote a particular agenda.  [/quote]

You are ridiculous and manipulative both. It’s not going to work out to cancel ‘pride night’. Sexuality is everywhere - cheerleaders at football games? Kissing cams at baseball games? You just don’t like this version of sexuality because you are afraid that your own daughter might be gay. Better that she stifle that and maybe have severe psychological problems, take up drugs or maybe kill herself because she feels uncomfortable in her own skin right? That’s better than you feeling uncomfortable with the idea of your daughter being gay, right? So, suddenly we’re going to stifle all sexuality because it’s not the ‘right’ sexuality in your narrow  mind. No. This is exactly why things like Pride night are desperately needed - so that people feel comfortable with themselves even if they are currently living in an intolerant, oppressive environment. Just because you have a child is no reason to take away said child’s basic human rights , even  when it involves her choosing her own sexuality. That is 100% hers to choose.[/quote]
