I have a MIL who had early onset dementia that I had to care for in my home for a year and we could not leave her home alone or afford help. Now I'm at the nursing home multiple times a week to feed her and take care of everything else. You probably have the same time as you had lots of help when you were SAH and your time was your time. Its not true for all of us. I don't want to be efficient. I want to take care of my kids and be there for them when they are home/need me vs. outsourcing to strangers.[/quote]
