Can you own an expensive house with a big mortgage and car and be house poor? Would a government GS 14 or 15 fit this or is it more like a lawyer or tech guru making $500k? Just curious to understand why some sound a little snooty and pretentious. Upper Middle Class seems like more than $300k. Want to be able to better follow discussions.[/quote]
