Highly doubt that this is actually possible.  Sounds like OP is coming from another private, in which case they'd likely be declaring a first choice before decisions are made so that their current school's outplacement team can lobby hard for that choice accordingly, essentially conceding admission to the second choice.  My sense is that the ability to choose between Sidwell and GDS after having been admitted to both is a near-mythical situation that very few applicants likely enjoy in any given year.[/quote]

Admitted to and chose b/t Blair, GDS, SFS, and STA. Went with SFS after going to all admit events and shadow days.

Hi thanks, we rec'd sig aid and felt best fit at SFS and GDS.  STA, was not our scene, we are not American. Both kids were pretty focused so knew what classes, contests, clubs they wanted to participate in so matched up based on that. SFS and its donors were outstanding at funding science teams, projects, venues to build things, travel, etc.

Our child is now 24 yo and doing masters at same Ivy as his ugrad. He was stem focus in upper school, BS and MS/Phd.

CHild 2 was more social and also STEM at SFS, easier logistics too, he graduated top 25 in class and did a couple sports. Maybe he shouldn't have partied so much. It was a social class with some famous grandkids. [/quote]
