You’re calling PP foolish? At least 3 adults thought its a good fit to play 04s. You don’t consider them more foolish? Does “could make an impact” mean you actually havent seen the player in action for 2005s?
Anyone who thinks a 2007 who isn't abnormally mature for her age is a good fit with girls 3-4 years older and beyond puberty is foolish, inquisitor. Who were the three adults?
Also, it's none of anyone's else's business whether or not they do it. I imagine they feel that she can learn some lessons playing with the older kids and I'm sure she will benefit in some ways. It doesn't mean that she wouldn't be better off playing with kids closer to her age, for safety reasons. It also might help her club in terms of results. I wouldn't want my pre-pubescent kid playing with much older kids, that's what I consider foolish. But to each his own.
WSVA DA TD, WSVA DA coach, and player’s parents. Did Larry Best have input? That would make 5 adults if he did. According to the shared email and those rumors of change, it would be a surprise why they would continue to want this type of publicity. I am not going to respond or lower myself to name calling. All the other noise is speculation.
She is a top-notch player but I have seen her personally play with 04 and 05 multiple times and I believe she has even played 02. She does not make an impact at 04 because she barely gets a touch. There is no reasonable argument to say that is good for her development. Add in the social challenges for an 07 playing with young women who are socially and physically more mature and you are not putting the player in a good situation. No touches means no development.
I disagree with the statement “no touches means no development.” There are lots of ways to improve your game without ever touching the ball. Positioning, runs, marking....many ways to improve. Granted, there is little development with the specific case of decisions on the ball, but the vast majority of play for any single player in a game is the case of not possessing the ball.
Unless you are too small and therefore slow to have the speed those correct runs would mean. I don't understand the resistance to placing her with the 06s. One year up suddenly isn't enough challenge? It has to be 2 or more? There's plenty that can be worked on by having the ball too.
