That said, if correct, then I would expect them to make cuts. Field space, # of reps in practice, # of available coaches would all factor in. You cannot have a 50 player varsity and a 50 player JV. 30 kids on each roster would see very little, if any, playing time, and it would be nearly impossible to get meaningful reps in practice for everyone. You might be able to have a freshman team, but the school would need additional coaches, additional field space for practices, and additional field space for games.
