My point was that this statement is not true in that having more of a negative is worse than having less. You did not get this because you are stupid. If you had cancer in 100% of your breast, your chance of metastasis is much higher than if you had it in just 50%. A mastectomy is an effort to reduce the potential spread of the cancer. Actually, a mastectomy is more likely at 50% since by 100% the cancer would be advanced Stage 4b (and have spread everyone in the body) and the trauma of getting a mastectomy would be worse than leaving the breast intact.
