We have largely been very happy with our MCPS public education experience. We left DC because we refuse to get involved with the degradation of public education. Could MCPS be better? Sure! But communities make up schools and families make-up communities and individuals make up families. I'd rather focus on building healthy individuals, families, and communities! By focusing on those areas then schools can improve. I can see on this board charter school proponents are trying to rally for the support of Hogan's charter school cronies.
That’s funny. I guess it’s possible. But it is also possible that many parents are frustrated with the mess that is MCPS and who would like to see some changes.
DCUM is not representative of County voters nor of County families with school-aged kids. It's a slice. It's interesting and useful for some things, but it's not representative of the views of most people in the County.
