I have an ongoing quibble with the casting in terms of the actors' ages. Colbie Smulders and the actress who plays Marianne look (and probably are) 5-10 years younger than the actress who plays Sam (who is beautiful but looks like she's in her 40's). The characters are supposed to be in their early 40's (although I think Colbie Smulders's character is supposed to be 2 or 3  years younger)-the male actors and the actress who plays Sam look that age but Colbie and the actress who plays Marianne look significantly younger.

Another thing I think is odd is that the actor who plays Nick (Nat Faxon) has crooked teeth. Nick is supposed to be a trust fund baby-there is no way that someone that wealthy would have teeth like that. It's not a reflection on Nat Faxon-I think he's a good actor and that he does a great job with the part-it just doesn't make sense in terms of the character. [/quote]

The actresses playing Marianne and Sam are about the same age (44 and 43, respectively). True that Cobie Smulders is a good bit younger (36) though I think she's mature enough to carry it off.

About the teeth issue. Bluebloods can be odd about cosmetic stuff. Fwiw I've met some with really bad teeth, so it doesn't strike me the same way.[/quote]
