Yes, I might be being a little judgmental but on my way for the school run this morning and afternoon, I see a ton a middle school boys in shorts and a sweatshirt type of jacket. It was snowing, sleeting and raining. Why would you let your kid out the house like that to have to walk to school or ride their bike? Just didn't make much sense to me. I made sure my kid had on a winter coat, gloves and boots and even if I wasn't at home she would have had sense enough to dress for the weather. Who wants to be cold and wet part of the day.
OP. First, how old is your DD? Second girls usually run colder than boys. Most middle school boys have raging hormones are going through puberty. This makes them extremely hot. So yes, it will be normal for you to see middle school boys in shorts and a sweat jacket in the middle of winter going to school. Honestly, mind your own business, and take care of your own kid. Stop passing judgment on other people’s kids when you have no idea. Signed, a mom of a middle school boy who went to school today in shorts and a short sleeve shirt with a sweat jacket, who didn’t even want to wear the jacket out because he was already burning hot.
