It happens more than you think.[/quote] Also GDS counsels out kids with learning differences. I know of 5 who left middle school last year. We love GDS but it is not a good fit for kids who need support- kids are smart, free thinking, self-starters and the teachers expect the kids to perform. It's not a great fit for one of our kids who has executive function issues but he loves it so we are coping/supporting him. Our other child is super smart, fast-processor and he is doing great but he already feels the pressure in late middle school.[/quote]
