This man worked 32 years in MCPS.   He probably worked in multiple schools over the course of his career.  Families also move from school to school.  A county-wide email via Dr. Smith could be done easily to maximize the opportunity of reaching as many parents as possible that had children interact with this employee.

What would be the downside of a county-wide email?  As far as whether or not DuFief ES families received an email, the article implies no but perhaps after the story hit the news MCPS sent an email to at least them.[/quote]

Agree completely!

But MCPS would much rather sweep incidents/news stories like this under the rug.  That is absolutely their MO.  Has been for the past decade.

And people know this.  Predators are safe in MCPS.  Kids, not so much.[/quote]
