I can understand someone not familiar with DC schools not realizing that "DC International School" and "Washington International School" are not the same thing. What's a shame is that the Post has reporters covering local politics who aren't familiar with the schools. [/quote]

Just a guess, but based on the old Twitter "bio", his kids may have been in public schools until recently, and he never changed the "bio"- that seems like the type of thing most people don't pay attention to on an ongoing basis.  Also, the reporter probably got her facts from spokespeople in the Mayor's office- I am willing to bet that someone there said "DC International School", not paying attention to the nuance.  Perry Stein is a pretty solid reporter and I am willing to bet she knows the difference between the two schools and got bad info.[/quote]
