What do you expect APS to do about it? After all, you're the one saying the school is the issue here, what do you want the school to do to ensure your child's safety? And why are you less worried about the far more frequent nighttime shootings?
Is anyone going to answer this question for real?
No, because they know a few random guys having a dispute a few blocks from the school over something that happened at a 7-11 that didn’t put the students in danger is entirely outside of APS’s control and isn’t a school issue. PP busted them too soon on scaring things up so they don’t get zoned from Oakridge to Drew for them to put together a story.
NP. Really? If this had happened in north Arlington, this exchange would be at page 23 already. While the students may not have been in direct danger THIS time, an active shooter a few blocks from a school should absolutely be considered a potential danger. Who knows during the incident whether it's some whacko on a shooting spree, an accidental misfire, a targeted robbery, whether a police pursuit or gunfire exchange will ensue, etc? Was your kid at Drew when this happened? Would you be as non-plussed if it had happened two blocks from YOUR kid's school?
