I’ve only spoken to one parent whose child was in the same group last year, she isn’t happy with what she’s seen but her DD is not a strong swimmer. She is also concerned that her DD won’t improve in this situation. I didn’t have any problems with the coach at all, neither did DD. She’s a mature well behaved kid. Other than reporting absences, and to give her a little gift at the end of the season, I barely talked to her. I don’t go on deck.
There were about 22 in the group to start off last season. I can think of roughly 5 that quit during the season or at the end of the season. 7 remain in the group. Ten moved up. They were mostly older than my DD, aged 10-13. 
There were other parents present today with kids that moved up, watching DD and they thought it was ridiculous that she’s placed with this group.
