No one can deny the Catholic Church has a problem in this regard, but there are so many good and kind priests and the Catholic Church is overall a force for good in the world. I truly wish church leadership would confront this horrific problem publicly and comprehensively and start handing over anyone in the church who is accused of these crimes to law enforcement. And if your child or loved one is hurt by a Catholic priest, call 911 and get the guy arrested immediately. Don’t leave it up to the Catholic Church to deal with the guy.
But the church leadership is keeping it going by covering it up and moving the priests all over the country as soon as someone is onto them. Who do we think is going to be a lone voice that will be powerful enough to make a difference when it's coming all the way from the top?
Is that what the report says? That currently priests are moved around when found to be pefophiles. I thought the report was for 60's, 70's and 80's.
The abuse is documented from 1940 to 2018. Still going on in 2018.
