Call the hotel and ask them to email you a copy of the folio so you can file your boss’s expense report. Give them your email address. They won’t ask questions.
NP. Will the charges also include dining and spa charges? And any other charge made within the hotel? All I need is the last 4 numbers or the whole card number?
You should probably know that the person stayed there. You can’t call and ask “did my boss stay in your hotel?” without REALLLY selling it. Definitely know the dates of stay. Charges will include anything billed to the room, but they won’t be itemized. So it will say Spa $200, room service $80, etc. You don’t know that two meals were ordered or if it was just an expensive menu. But sometimes when I travel on business, I split off my personal charges (drinks at the bar, once I got a pedicure during a conference, etc) and pay with my personal card. Those charges don’t appear on the folio. So he or she could conceivably split off spa and dinner charges and pay cash. I usually don’t even give my card number, just my name and dates of stay. But if you’re looking for Bob Smith’s charges, you may be asked for the last four.
