My 13 yr old DS in the 5th percentile for height wouldn't mind this "problem" one bit.
Preach. I'm really short, but I'm a girl so it's never been an issue. My son is, and always likely will be, the shortest in his class. (Not the shortest boy, the shortest kid). He handles it really well, but I'd gladly change the too-tall problem for him.
PP here. My son takes his height "challenge" fairly well. He always has a quick come back for the kids who point out his height. That usually shuts them down. Plus, he is friends with the really tall boys who row crew with him (he is the coxswain).
