[/quote] +1. it's really disappointing to see people who want to expand the pool of priests (understandably) jumping to married men rather than women. Women in the priesthood would absolutely help alleviate these and many other problems in the hierarchy of the Catholic church. And there are practical logistical and pastoral reasons to have priests without obligations of an immediate family, but I know of know logistical or pastoral reasons not to have women priests.[/quote]
