My hospital now tracks what narcotics we give in the ER and how many narcotic prescriptions we prescribe upon discharge. The info is put up on the screen during department meetings. I’m going to stop giving narcotic prescriptions unless I absolutely have to. [/quote] Are there other pain meds besides narcotics that can be given? Or is it just prescription strength NSAIDs?[/quote]
