Good episode this week! Love how Cole rationalizes his adultery. SMH at these guys.
I thought it was a terrible episode. The thing with Vic and the neighbor was so obvious and so boring and drawn out and then the whole contrived interaction bw cole and those women In california. It just felt so forced and unreal. This show used to be insightful and at least a little bit unpredictable and nuanced. That’s all gone.
Vik's story was way drawn out I agree. I still liked it, maybe because I like him so much. I thought it was insightful how he realized love is not his main motivation for being with Helen. We learned as much from her earlier this season. I'm curious to see if they will have a reckoning with each other or if they will just continue in the same pattern. Cole's interaction with Delphine from Idaho was entirely unnecessary. I think it was just an excuse to see him getting laid, to parallel Vik's adultery storyline. Cole and Vik are the only characters I find interesting on this show. Also, best music of the season so far - Lord Huron and the National. I was glued to that whole exorcism scene, it was well done.
