Not ONE single person on this thread has said they think its okay for kids to drink. Not one.  Everyone, including me, has said the opposite.  But we have said that the White Party is fine (and similar to most middle school mixers at local privates) and that prohibiting kids from attending is NOT the answer, especially since kids don't drink at the White Party. Its the pre-parties where this happens fyi.

There is far too much hyperbole and misplaced outrage on this thread.  Here is an idea - Spend that energy parenting your kid and teaching your kid about the consequences of  bad choices and inappropriate behavior so they recognize and avoid it when they see it, because I promise you, they will see it and hear about it sooner or later and its better to give them the tools to handle it starting when the behavior starts amongst their peers.[/quote]
