The college sweethearts are all still together (got married around 25/26, for the most part). The people in trouble are the ones who got married in their early/mid 30s - I won't use the word desperate but they clearly felt a push and unwittingly overlooked/compromised on a lot, and as the years have gone on the cracks began to show.
