I wish the writer would disclose who her UF married -- I'd bet she married well. Really, the undercurrent of the piece is the writer didn't find a born or soon-to-be rich Ivy husband while in college.

Her 1016-2017 salary was $46136 (English) and $30757 (Ethnic studies). State employee salary is a matter of public record. You can google. Some unis such as U of CA offer free housing not reflected in salary because of cost of living. Not sure about Nebraska. [/quote]

She wrote she just got the tenure offer, which comes with a big bump in pay, so her 2016-2017 salary is misleading.[/quote]
