YES - totally agree. My best friends dad and step mom (his secretary that he had an affair with which ended his first marriage) have always lived to 'keep up the appearance' of a very wealthy lifestyle - which was totally unsustainable. Now he's constantly calling his kids to help pay their bills: "I'm your father... you owe me... look at everything I've done for you..."

Maybe your besties Dad is just a dick. In my family and DHs family, the only divorces have happened with our generation's offspring (Millenials) and I wouldn't indict all Millenials base on a few people who couldn't stay married.[/quote]
