Wharton is almost on par with HYPSM in terms of desirability, the rest of Penn is well above Cornell and also most probably slightly above Duke. All of them are way ahead of UVa. The only people who debate turning down a non-HYP ivy and equivalent (Duke, Chicago, NU) for UVA are those who genuinely cannot afford the tuition at the ivy and might be too rich to qualify for substantial need-based aid. This is a very small number of people. No one in their right mind that could afford the ivy would go for UVA. [/quote]
