Photos are in color. OP here: I find it so interesting how negative vast majority of opinions are here. While I think maybe the actual 'warmth' of place doesn't carry over in photos the comments also suggest that many/most would have preferred the traditional Georgian-inspired house right around the corner-with warm wood and all the moldings and classic detailing that I find so oppressive/dated (https://www.homesale.com/p/5214-Oakland-Rd-Chevy-Chase-MD-20815/dmgid_117921679#&gid=1&pid=8) I guess the good thing is if majority don't like I may have a few days to win lottery and buy it before it sells.
