Oh come on, don't be so obtuse.   The term preppy isn't exclusive anymore to waspy rich people from the NE.  Every high school has a "preppy" crowd.  As in the type of kids who play Lacrosse and join frats.  They don't have to spend their summers going to the cape. [/quote]
