In addition they have higher rates of criminality and lower IQs. Could actually be more of a correlation than causation. What many teen moms have in common are many of them have pre-existing mental health issues, which can lead to poor decisions. Your life might be just as miserable and depressing if you birth mother had raised your herself, but then you might have had poverty and a whole other set of social issues layered on top of your depression that would be there no matter your circumstance. REAL depression (not situational temporary depression) is most always chemical and has very strong genetic influences.[/quote]
