I used to be obsessed as well.  You're right, the wives are likeable.  And the family, as huge as it is, seems so normal that it was fun to watch.  Here's what finally sent me over the edge though:  the *CONSTANT* party planning.  Here's a family that needs to budget very strictly, and yet they were always planning one silly party after another.  The vow renewal was the one that finally got me.  The wives decided they needed custom-made dresses because why???  The mall isn't good enough?  And the custom dresses turned out to be soooo ugly.

Another thing that actually gave me anxiety were the family "vacations."  Honestly, it would have been a nightmare for me to have to pack everyone up, AND all the food, AND plan three meals a day on the road.  That's no vacation, it's just everyday life purposely made 100 times more difficult and stressful.

Oh, and of course, the insistence on buying FOUR homes they couldn't afford, and the melodrama that went along with waiting to see if the bank had approved their loans.  And then the silly jewelry business which Robin actually thought was going to be profitable.

Sorry, I wasn't even planning on going off on this tangent, and yet here I am.  I kind of miss watching the show, but it just became so repetitive.  Same old stuff, every episode.  I do like Janelle the most though, and can't figure out why she's stuck around so long.[/quote]
