OP, I did this and also timed it with a job change, which made it easier since my new colleagues had never seen me with all of my makeup. Go for it. Also I am laughing at the mascara/eyeliner debate! I only wear mascara for special occasions and my daily makeup is tightlined eyeliner. That's it. I curl my lashes if I have time. It looks polished but not overly done, and pretty natural too.
This is the key. You don’t have to wear mascara, but curling the lashes really opens up the face and gives one a more wide awake look.
+1 I always curl my lashes. Sometimes I add mascara. Never eyeliner, but if I was going to use eyeliner it would only be WITH mascara. (Otherwise that would be like wearing lip liner and no lipstick- not a good look)
+2 curling does more than the mascara, depending on your lashes. Mine just stick straight out so curling them even slightly makes a huge difference. I do think people with dark lashes can get away without mascara, even if wearing eyeliner. IF the eyeliner is light/mild, top lash line only.
