I'm sure she didn't, she was just throwing a tantrum. A tantrum that op put into motion by interrupting the present opening. I don't think anyone thinks tantrums or calling someone's food disgusting is okay, but op seems to not recognize her part in this, and particularly doesn't see how she's quite focused on herself, and her needs, and seems to be ignoring her own daughter's feelings.
