I used to be a preschool teacher, so I have a TON of these. Along the lines of, "little pitchers have big ears," we had a set of twins one year. They were playing together in the dramatic play area, making breakfast. One of them loudly said to the other, "WHY DO YOU NEED TO BUY EXPENSIVE COFFEE WHEN WE HAVE COFFEE AT HOME?!"
Ha! Yes, parents should be forewarned that by the end of the school year, their kids' preschool (& early elementary) teachers are very likely to know much more about them & what goes on in their households than they are probably comfortable with!
My child would walk around in the housekeeping corner telling the baby dolls "This is an adult beverage. It's not for you." His teacher was concerned until I said "tell your teacher what adult beverage you're drinking." and he solemnly said "Diet Coke. It's got caffeeeeeeeeeeen".
