The trophy wife is there to look good everywhere. Think about a trophy, you like to show it off but it doesn't talk. Guys that want trophy wives are insecure and superficial. They drive 300k sports cars to impress others. They want to be the smart ones and all they care about is that everyone notices how hot their wife is. It's to prove the guy wins at everything.[/quote]

I meant more for the sex stuff - a PP said that the trophy wife has to do all these other things, and also put out with her ugly but rich husband. I was under the impression - based on nothing at all; this is not my life - that the mistress is there to keep the guy sexually happy, the wife has to be good in public. Am I wrong that most men with trophy wives also have mistresses? How does that part work?

Yes. I'm not saying that situation never occurs but part of the deal is she is that woman. The mistress is more prominent when they don't want to get divorced because of the potential alimony/divorce settlement. Those assholes set up the young girl in an apt and expect her to be available. They get an allowance but they also get some free time and can bail.

The trophy wife normally has a pre-nip when she gets married. If no pre-nup, well, then once married, the sex might not be what the guy got prior b/c she's ok with a divorce situation. I think that's when you see the H add the AP. Generally, sex is part of the deal but luckily for the young woman, the old guy is going to start having equipment issues. Viagra is their enemy.

As mentioned earlier, the relationships are often work. If they involve children, the H will see himself as doing that as a gift to the TW b/c he is done with children. He will likely view them as her problem and be only superficially and financially involved.[/quote]
