So we've moved on from rustic lake george? What other things? We want to know!! Colors? I thought you guys were going to wait bc of family issues. Shotgun?
BC girl here- We (or should I say I) changed the wedding plans a million times. We were initally going to get married in Lake George and then changed it to Rhode Island as I was getting shit from my mom about how the "wedding is supposed to be where the bride is from". So we had plans on just doing a big thing in Rhode Island but then we realized how difficult it was going to be for all of his family and friends to make it to Rhode Island for a weekend as a lot of them are farmers/have their own farms and can't just go away for a weekend. So what we are doing is having a small thing in Rhode Island with mostly my family/close friends/close family friends and then a few of his close family who can make it/want to see us actually get married. It's going to be about 40 people and we are getting married by the ocean in the late afternoon with just my parents, 2 siblings, best friend & her husband and then both sets of my grand parents and then his best friend and wife and grandparents will be there. After the small ceremony, we are meeting up with everyone for dinner at a nice restuarant on the ocean. My parents rented out the outside patio/inside area for 3 hours so we will have about 40 people there for appetizers, dinner, drinks & cupcakes as a small "reception" from 4-7. Afterwards, everyone is invited to go back to my parents house for a low key thing- drinks, firepit, smores, music, etc. We are toying with the idea of having a seperate party in Vermont for his friends/additional family 2 weeks after the wedding. We have 3 acres at our house and a huge yard so could host a casual thing just so we could celebrate with his friends too (no gifts or anything "wedding"- just to celebrate our wedding.)
