I'm not so sure about that?  I live in the neighborhood.  A lot of my neighbors that seem to fit the description above seem to do private.  Is there any proof that SP/CV folks are any more politically powerful than people in any other neighborhood (Hill, WOTP, etc.)?[/quote]

They may send their kids to private schools, but they won't want the property value hit of losing Deal/Wilson for Coolidge.

As for influence - check the donation history and political appointments. Broadly speaking SP/Col Village is a bigger player in city politics. Cap Hill / CCDC more influential in federal government. [/quote]
