How routine is bullying at the early elementary level?  I'm a parent of a kindergartner at an EOTP school, and I haven't heard of anything of the sort in kids this young.  It seems out of the norm that bullying as severe and systematic as OP has described would go on in K or 1st grade.  Maybe I'm naive?[/quote]

I am not the OP - but got the sense that these were older children (3rd graders) bullying a K.

At the charter my children attend, older kids wrote nasty things about younger kids on the bathroom walls.  Also - not bullying - but not nice - my PreK boy was in the hall bathroom and older kids were there.  They asked my 4YO if his older brother was _____.  My son said yes.  The older boys started saying things that were not nice about my older son (he has a medical condition)
