You got the amount that you had insured . . . which was the value of the car minus the deductible (which you may get back once your insurance company gets compensation from the "at fault" driver's company). Learn how insurance works. If you want to buy insurance that gives you a new car, ask the insurance company how much that would cost in premiums. [/quote]
