Always remember that the better your grades and test scores are, the easier it is to be recruited. I'd also advise you to be flexible about D1 v D3. Many of us, including some PPs above, have focused more on the potential admissions bump to a great school than we have on the level of play--make sure you and your child are on the same page about what the priorities are.
