I think a lot of millennials will be surprised to learn that abortion rights aren't nearly as set in stone as they think.
So true, and very sad. Young women have no idea what things were like before Roe vs. Wade. Guess they're going to learn the hard way.
Perhaps some of them are a bit smarter than their parents.
Millenials want and have come to expect to have the right to control their own bodies. They don't want a hypocritical moralist (ahem) taking away what most people consider a fundamental right. If you don't want an abortion, don't have one. The practice will continue despite the law. The sad fact is that many women (you know - actual human beings) will die from clandestine abortions if Row vs. Wade is overturned.
Don't even you get tired of saying this? Please be aware that many millennials are indeed smarter than their parents, as they have come to see this issue from an entirely different light. As technology advances, we are more aware than ever that early life is real, valued and deserves our protection.
Up until I waas pregnant with my first, I didn't realize why 20 weeks is not the right time to disallow abortions. Up until I was pregnant with my second, who was a premie, I didn't realize that being born extremely prematurely may not be a gift. Millenials who have had children may know this. The ones who haven't may not.
They may believe no human life should be terminated by either parent.
