DP - did you mean GOP in the first line?

I have been thinking about your latter point recently: Dems really seem to try much harder to find compromise candidates that both sides can live with and to further bipartisan work as much as possible.

I do think many GOP are good people also but the military warfare approach to politics that military historian Newt Gingrich introduced in the late 90s and zeros has become gradually more extreme .

Many people want to see Congress much more functional and bipartisan rather than cheap point scoring and attack dog mode. [/quote]
