They were able to get rid of ISIS because we worked with Russia and made sure we weren't fighting each other.
To get rid of Russia, we'd probably have to work with people who agree with ISIS.

No.

ISIS existed due to the puppet regimes in Syria and Iran; the US opened the door in Iraq for it to flourish.

The US could have easily wiped ISIS out but Russia backing a totally evil dictator in Syria required the US to choose between the lesser of two evils.

Pretty much; Russia is just a non-Muslim version of the same evil.[/quote]
