The endless outrage machine is in full gear. Gas prices now. But before that shortages!! Inflation! Mask mandates! Closed schools!@ Vaccine mandates!! Immigration! Lockdowns! I'm Maaaaaad! But what I see? We are employed. Our house is worth a lot. We can work from home. Our schools were only closed for a few months. We are all vaccinated and boosted. Everything has been open for more than a year. Sports are happening. So are Scouts, plays, parties, weddings, funerals, holidays, vacations. Stores have all we need and then some. We never got sick. Yes things are more expensive. So we have adjusted. Two years ago gas was dirt cheap but there was no place to go. Now everyone wants to travel, so of course hotels, flights are more expensive. Gas prices are jumping because of demand and WAR. Supply and demand, like we were always taught. I remain grateful every day we have a sane man like Biden in the White House. Trump would be melting down under all this pressure. He was utterly worthless. He passed a tax cut. That is it.
When Trump was president the Russians weren't invading countries, ya know? And we didn't have rampant inflation, ya know? I'm not the biggest fan of Donald J. Trump but his name doesn't cause me to have mental breakdowns. What is still very clear is that under Biden, we've had the following: 1. Keystone pipeline cancelled, removal of sanctions on the Nord stream pipeline, telling Russia Americans won't get involved, passing on intelligence to China who immediately told Russia = Russian invasion 2. Warnings from prominent economists like Larry Summers (hardly a conservative) that the March 2021 $1400 stimulus check risked tipping the country into inflation = ignored and we entered an inflationary era. Is this a sane and intelligent president? I remember all the crowings that the adults were back in the room when the Biden administration arrived  but ironically days are much darker than they were under Trump. Never had the cluelessness of the governing classes been so exposed and so quickly (Russia, inflation, even COVID). I will, however, grant Biden's administration all the wonderful, bold, BLM and Rainbow flags flying from all our embassies across the world. How progressive! Here's a bit of advice: most Americans live paycheck to paycheck. They don't have nice massive equity in their house or high paying consulting jobs. They live paycheck to paycheck. Let me emphasize this one more time: they live paycheck to paycheck. When inflation hits, there's really no spare money. It hurts. There may very well be the electoral equivalent of the French guillotines come this November and it will be the working classes and middle classes punishing the out of touch, increasingly irresponsible and increasingly oblivious Democratic party. The downside is that the Republicans will reap all the benefits even though I don't want them to, but they will.
You put it excellently.
Maybe. But the Supreme Court is about to allow states to enslave women, so maybe not. Also, who knows what things will look like in November.
